French for University PurposesPau
20-hour course over 10 weeks from 20 January to 7 April 2026 at University of Pau and the Pays de l'Adour.
Aims
- To be familiar with the French university context and its characteristics in order to learn the "student's job" and succeed in their studies.
- Understand university lexicon, work instructions and course expectations (explicit and implicit).
- Understand a lecture and take notes.
- Knowing how to speak and write in a university context (giving a presentation/ writing a summary, abstract, dissertation).
Methodology
This French for University Purposes (B2) course will familiarise you with the characteristics and expectations, both explicit and implicit, of the French university system. It will take place face-to-face and will offer you a variety of situational activities in the French university context.
A large part of the course will be devoted to digital activities and resources, offered by the ENVOL project.
Public
This course is aimed at foreign students with a B2 or C1 level who plan to study in higher education in France.
