Life in Pau and the region

For over 40 years, the Institut d'Études Françaises pour Étudiants Étrangers at the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour has welcomed around 700 students every year to take language courses at its two sites in Pau and Bayonne. The length of their stay varies from three weeks to nine months. A recognised university institute, located in the pleasant surroundings of two towns on a human scale, Pau at the foot of the Pyrenees and Bayonne on the Atlantic coast.
