Teaching
Objective
To provide the linguistic and cultural training that will help students adapt to life at and outside university.
Content
Teaching focuses on general French, i.e. the language of communication, both oral and written, and university methodology in French.
Students are divided into groups of the same level, which are determined by the test that students take at the beginning of the semester. The levels follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Enrolment
For Erasmus students and international students, the registration form is usually sent when you register for the programme.
For people from outside the university, you must download the registration form, complete it and send it to Annie Subervie subervie@univ-pau.fr. Please pay the full course fee before the first lesson.
If you arrive after the start of the academic year, you should send an e-mail to Annie Subervie subervie@univ-pau.fr , who will be responsible for welcoming you. She will send you a form to complete and a link to the DIALANG online test, which will enable you to assess your level of French. You will need to return the completed form with the results of the DIALANG test. You will be placed in a group according to your level if there is still room in the group. You will then be given your course days and times. Enrolments close 2 weeks after the start of the course.
Price per semester for students from outside Pau :
- 220€ (400€ for 2 semesters) for 2 hours per week
- 380€ (700€ for 2 semesters) for 4 hours per week
Tests de placement :
- In semester 1 (September to December), a placement test is organized in person at the University of Pau before the start of the academic year, during the welcome and integration course for Erasmus and international students, at the beginning of September. External students must also take this placement test to determine their level. You will then be placed in a group corresponding to your level.
- In semester 2 (January to April), new students take the Self FLE test to assess their level of autonomous French.
