An intensive French language course that combines high-quality university teaching, fun activities in French, and the chance to discover the lush green region of southwestern France!

Course outline

  •  3 hours of French language and culture classes every morning from 9.30 to 12.30.
  •  In the afternoons,
    • a workshop (twice a week) : theater, chanson française and French learning games.
    • twice a week : cultural and sports activities with Jeanne.  Recreational, cultural and sporting activities : visit of the castle, tasting of our city’s food specialities, rafting, Basque pelota, etc. Students will take part in these activities with an accompanying adult.

10 to 18 students per group.

  • Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a level certificate, based on progressive assessment. A certificate is provided upon request. Students must have proof of valid insurance in order to take part in any excursions.

Placement test

We welcome students of all levels.

  1. Before the course, students will take an online placement test.
  2. Another placement test will take place on Monday, June 29 at 9 a.m.

The division into level groups is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Students who are absent on the day of the tests will only be accepted if there are places available corresponding to their level.

Students will then be divided into groups, which are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). Any student who is absent on the day of the placement test will only be accepted if their corresponding group is not full.

*In the case of a cancellation before the start date of the course, the application fee will not be refunded.
The full price will be forfeited if the student fails to notify the IEFE of non-attendance prior to this date.

  •  Registration must be done using the Summer Course form, which will be available online in December 2025.

When you register, you will be asked for a postcode. You can enter any number if you do not live in France.
