An intensive French language course that combines high-quality university teaching, fun activities in French, and the chance to discover the lush green region of southwestern France!

Course outline

  • Mornings: 3 hours of French language and culture lessons every morning from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm.

  •  Afternoons:
     6 workshops (1 hour 30 each) and a show from 1.00 pm to 2.30 pm: theatre or learning French through games.or French songs.

  •  Fun, cultural and sporting activities: a tour of Pau, a visit to the castle, tasting the town’s specialities, exploring the historic centre, rafting, Basque pelota, etc.

All activities are included in the price quoted.

You will be accompanied by a French-speaking guide to help you continue practising your French.

10 to 18 students per group.

  •  Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a level certificate, based on progressive assessment. A certificate is provided upon request. Students must have proof of valid insurance in order to take part in any excursions.

Placement test

We welcome students of all levels.

  1. Before the course, students will take an online placement test.
  2. Another placement test will take place on Monday, June 28 at 9 a.m.

The division into level groups is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Students who are absent on the day of the tests will only be accepted if there are places available corresponding to their level.

Students will then be divided into groups, which are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). Any student who is absent on the day of the placement test will only be accepted if their corresponding group is not full.

  •  From the 28th of June to the 23*th of July 2027 (4 weeks)
    * The three-hour class scheduled for Friday, July 23, has been moved up a few days to an afternoon so that students can leave as early as Friday.

*In the case of a cancellation before the start date of the course, the application fee will not be refunded.
The full price will be forfeited if the student fails to notify the IEFE of non-attendance prior to this date.
